HORSEBACK RIDES
Our half-day and full-day horseback rides are designed to explore some of the most spectacular landscapes of southern Galicia. Atlantic mountains, native forests, rural trails, ocean viewpoints and wild horse country all form part of an experience that combines nature, adventure and equestrian culture.
Riding our Galician Purebred Horses (PRG), we explore the region at a relaxed pace, following paths that have been part of local life for generations. A perfect opportunity to discover Galicia from a unique perspective, whether you are new to horse riding holidays or an experienced rider looking for an unforgettable day in the saddle.
Most of our half-day and full-day rides are organised as private group experiences (minimum 4 participants). This allows us to adapt the pace, route and overall experience to the interests and riding level of each group. If you have specific dates in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Our Horseback Rides in Galicia
Full-Day Ride
A full day exploring some of the wildest and least-known corners of the Sierra de la Groba. Throughout the journey we cross a variety of landscapes, enjoy a traditional lunch along the route and have the opportunity to observe the wild horse herds that roam freely in these mountains.

Half-Day Ride
An ideal introduction to exploring Galicia on horseback. We ride through mountain trails, forests and rural paths while enjoying panoramic views over the Atlantic coastline and learning about the region’s equestrian heritage.
Duration: 4 hours
What is it about?
The experience begins at Finca Moreiras with a short briefing to introduce you to our horses and prepare for the ride ahead. From there, we head into the landscapes of the Sierra de la Groba, following mountain trails, native forests and ancient rural paths that have been used by local communities for generations.
Riding our Galician Purebred Horses, we discover some of the most authentic and hidden corners of southern Galicia, enjoying panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and travelling through a landscape where nature remains the true protagonist.
At the end of the ride, we return to Finca Moreiras carrying not only the memories of an unforgettable day on horseback, but also a deeper appreciation for the nature, culture and equestrian heritage of Galicia.
