CAMINO DE SANTIAGO ON HORSEBACK
This horseback journey follows the Portuguese Coastal Camino from Oia to Santiago de Compostela, tracing one of the most spectacular and popular pilgrimage routes in Europe. Over the course of a week, we ride along historic trails through native forests, mountains, rural villages and stretches of the Atlantic coastline, eventually reaching Santiago Cathedral and the iconic Plaza del Obradoiro.
This experience is primarily designed for private groups, allowing us to adapt the pace, logistics and overall experience to each group. Whether you are a group of friends, family members or riders wishing to complete the Camino de Santiago on horseback together, we will be happy to organise the journey on dates that suit you best.
We also offer one scheduled departure open to individual travellers and small groups:
Dates 2027:
12 - 18 April
What is it about?
Although we follow the official Camino de Santiago route, we have designed an itinerary specifically adapted for horseback travel. Whenever possible, we avoid long stretches of asphalt and heavily trafficked sections, choosing alternative mountain paths, forest tracks and natural trails that provide a far more enjoyable riding experience. The result is a different kind of pilgrimage, one experienced at the pace of the horse, crossing some of Galicia’s most beautiful and authentic landscapes before arriving in Santiago de Compostela.
